Surrounded by 55 3,000-meter peaks, the Zillertal lies amidst the beautiful mountain world of the Tuxer foothills, the main Tuxer divide and the Zillertal Alps. It is an area 32 kilometers in length and ranges from 550m to 3,509m in elevation. Optimal prerequisites, then, to take center stage as a top-caliber ski region! Whether snowboarding or skiing - here in Zillertal valley, you can enjoy the glorious "white stuff" with every fiber of your being. With over 660km of slopes, our ski area is a big player on the scene in every sense of the word. Awaiting you are over 81 km of black, 414 km of red and 165 km of blue slopes. 171 state-of-the-art lifts and cable cars carry you up to our exceptionally groomed runs and magical deep-snow slopes.
The Spieljoch in Fügen is regarded as an especially family-friendly ski area. With over 21 km of outstandingly maintained slopes, a total of 8 lifts, 2 magic carpet, plus a bunny lift for skiers hitting the slopes for the very first time, it provides a perfect setting for all the "pros" and everyone aspiring to become one. Experience the longest valley run in Zillertal. It drops down across our very own ski hill, all the way back to the hotel.
Magical slopes above the tree-line also await you at the entrance to Zillertal valley. Here lies Hochfügen, a paradise of skiing and snowboarding, with snows you can rely on until the end of April. Hop on board the bus right in front of the hotel. Whether families with children, experienced skiers or for pure, laid-back skiing enjoyment, in the Hochzillertal ski alliance, with 171 km of slopes and 37 lifts rising as high as 2500 meters above sea level, everyone is sure to discover a slope destined to become their personal favorite.
Dance of the Snows
Mother Nature sets her own stage, bedecked all in white, revealing herself in sparse, puristic clarity and radiant blue. Winter here with us in Fügen is a winter from its most beautiful perspective - promising you a winter vacation the way it is supposed to be! Direct connections on our ski bus to the ski areas of Hochzillertal, Hochfügen and Spieljoch , make it possible to enjoy virtually every form of winter sport. And after a day spent kicking up fresh powder, you will be ready to unwind in the swimming pool or our pine-paneled relaxation room.
With over 660 km of slopes, alpine skiers such as yourself find a veritable Eldorado here in Zillertal. Cross-country skiers, too, definitely get their money's worth. Hochfügen presents a 9 km-long alpine trail with unforgettable mountain views. And because of its elevation, this trail is also well-known for its reliable snow conditions. On the 1.4 km-long, floodlit course in Hochfügen, sledding fun for children and adults is guaranteed. One of the most beautiful sled runs in Tyrol is Fügen-Goglhof. With the original sled express, you will float from the Goglhof up to the start of the course, before gliding down a 3.5 km, superbly groomed natural sledding run all the way back down to the valley. A ride you have to experience to believe. And if you are in the mood to go ice skating, you will find a manmade ice rink at Erlebnistherme Fügen. If snowshoeing appeals to you, too, things couldn't be any easier: You will actually set out from right here at the hotel.
